Experience
Graduate UX Techdegree – Treehouse
(2019 – 2020)
A challenging, online UX course where I learnt to critique designs, complete user research, and design web and mobile applications and create a portfolio of my designs.
Cooperator & Company Secretary – We Are Open Coop
(2017 – present)
This role involves both project work and all the internal operations of a small, agile tech co-op. I work on marketing, client liaison, accounting and company organisation. I am also involved in the current ‘Catalyst Discovery Programme’ where we are taking nine charities through a remote digital discovery process. I have planned and delivered workshops around user needs, user research and ideation. As the team all work remotely, I am experienced in using technologies such as Slack, G-Suite and Zoom which are essential to the day to day running of the organisation. In addition, I am currently working on a redesign of our website.
Teacher
(2004 – 2019)
With 15 years of planning for my ‘users’ to get the most out of their classroom experience, re-designing lessons, thinking on my feet and coming up with creative ways to share information; teaching really has been a great background to have coming into the world of technology and UX design.
